Bectu have been asked to submit the AD rate card for negotiations with PACT at the beginning of December. To go into the negotiations in a strong position, we need your help.
Please take a minute to fill out Bectu's rate surveys, filling in as many jobs as you can.

PACT has access to all the data gathered by Team Engine, the payment system used on most projects. It is essential we collect as much of our own data as possible so we know what rates ADs are currently earning.
Should we increase the Rate Card?
We have attached a ‘Comparison Rate Card’ that shows AD rate card rates in relation to other departments rate cards. This demonstrates AD rates are falling behind. We believe ADs should be earning, at a minimum, comparable rates to other departments. This would mean increasing our rates going into the negotiation. At the bottom of each survey, there is a space to fill in your thoughts, notes and reasons on how we can justify the increase.
Examples of reasons to increase our pay:
Assess and sign Risk Assessments
Held liable if an accident happens
Responsible for Health and Safety briefings on set
The number of ‘active hours’ ADs are involved in per day
Responsible for organising and managing the entire unit on a daily basis
Knowledge of technical equipment and the time it takes
Handling of confidential information
If you can’t complete it now and need more time to think about it, feel free to come back later, or you can email: Channeltwograpevine@gmail.com. The deadline is November 24th.
If you are an AD/PA, this is for you. Fill it out, share it. Please help out. We can organise insane shoots of all types and budgets; we need that same energy organising ourselves.
Notes about our next rate card
We have to remove our A, B in the Bands going forward. ADs were the first ones to create the A, B in the Bands, but PACT does not recognise it, and no other department adopted it. This gives us another justification for increasing our rates as we are balancing the two rates out.
For Film, there are no recognised Bands below the MMP, for the comparison Rate Card and Survey we averaged the Bands used by other departments.
Thank you,
