Remuneration: Fixed Term familiarisation and induction fee 10 hours at £12 p/h.

Performance-based Commission 10% commission of first year’s membership for every new net member, payable monthly

AD Guild is hiring from within the AD community for a Membership Representative. Are you looking to earn extra income in between your role as an AD? We are looking for an enthusiastic Membership Representative to help to grow our membership database. This is a performance-based commission role and will allow you to work remotely around your own schedule. 


About Us:
AD Guild is a dynamic and growing membership-based organisation dedicated to representing Assistant Directors across the UK. The AD Guild UK aims to be an inclusive, progressive and proactive nationwide Guild, promoting and developing the craft of Assistant Directors, while addressing the professional and collective needs of Assistant Directors in the UK.

Role Overview:
As a Membership Representative, you will be at the forefront of engaging prospective members and demonstrating the value of joining our organisation. Your primary focus will be to attract new members and grow existing relationships, ensuring a robust and engaged membership base. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success and growth of the organisation.

The familiarisation and induction fee is provided to enable the Membership Representative to research and plan the role for maximum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identify and engage potential members through phone, email, social media, and networking events.

  • Consultative Sales: Understand the needs of prospective members and report back to the AD Guild staff and Directors on this feedback. 

  • Relationship Building: Build long-term relationships with prospective and current members, ensuring retention and engagement.

  • Closing & Onboarding: Guide prospects through the membership application process, ensuring smooth enrollment and a positive first experience.

  • Setting and achieving membership Targets: Consistently achieve monthly and annual goals by acquiring new members and renewing existing memberships, by reporting to the AD Guild Manager and AD Guild Membership Committee. 

  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and member interactions within CRM tools, ensuring follow-ups and timely renewals. Evidence of the Membership Representative’s involvement in new member additions or retention of existing members to be provided, on request. 

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Assistant Director by Profession: The ideal candidate will be an AD by profession and who has a current network of prospective members, as well as the confidence to approach potential members.

  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales is not essential, however the ability to bring charisma and commitment to the role, with a passionate approach to the organisation's values. 

  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present compelling messages to diverse audiences.

  • Passion for the Mission: A genuine interest in the AD Guild’s purpose and a desire to help others benefit from being part of our community.

  • Goal-Oriented: Motivated by achieving sales targets and working toward performance metrics.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable accessing our CRM system in order to monitor membership growth. 

  • Relationship-Driven: Ability to build rapport and trust with prospects, ensuring they see the long-term value in joining the organisation.
