ADG First Aid Course Level 3 (VTQ) 50% Subsidy for AD Guild Members

Thank you to all our members who joined the NFTS First Aid Course subsidised by AD Guild. Read our member's feedback below and key takeaways from the course.

The course was a Level 3 (VTQ) Emergency First Aid at Work course and is fully certified and lasts for three years. It was hosted by Suzanne Stickley a HCPC registered Paramedic and film medic (Barbie/Citadel and many more titles). Suzanne has been training for 12 years and offers a wealth of experience as a trainer.

The course offered was a blended course, this means three hours is done online by members before attending the practical session that took place on Saturday 26th October at the NFTS. The online course was available to be done in bite sized chunks around your schedule in your own time but had to be completed before the day of the practical session. This offered members great flexibility around their work schedules and enabled greater participation.

The cost to members was a special price of £37.50 plus VAT ( £45.00 ) with AD Guild UK funding 50% of this course.

The course was done on a first-come-first served basis, and will be repeated in the future should there be further interest.

Feedback from AD Guild Members

"A quick message to say thank you for organizing this along with Sue, who was amazing and made the session dynamic and fun."

"I now feel much more confident in the event of a first aid scenario. Having a discounted price was appreciated too, as I haven't had steady work since March."

"Even at its non-discounted price the course is extremely good value for money compared to the Red Cross course I did a few years ago as the online videos contain much more detail than can be put across on a Red Cross one-day course."

"The instructor was also obviously very experienced and able to pass on her knowledge well, so overall I was very impressed by the course as a whole and very appreciative of the discount the ADG were able to obtain."

"I do wish more people would do these courses and that more job adverts came with a requirement of first aid training - thanks to cockups the few times I've had to deal with some quite serious injuries a medic wasn't available so my training proved invaluable."

A big thank you to Suzanne Stickley, the Mark Milsome Foundation for their recommendation of service providers, and the NFTS for providing the teaching room for free.

We look forward to providing more training and development opportunities in the future.
