AD Guild UK, in association with The Production Guild of Great Britain, are pleased to announce a joint '2nd AD Essentials Course' on Saturday 11th May 2024 9:30 AM - 16:30 PM.

Are you interested in gaining an introduction into the role of a 2nd AD? Are you looking to eventually step up, and would like an insight into the role? This taster course offers everything you need to know from;

• An insight into the day-to-day role and responsibilities

• What happens in prep vs what happens during shooting 

• Call sheet creation

• Script breakdowns

• Where the 2nd AD fits in amongst the wider crew

• What is and what isn’t a 2nd AD’s responsibility

• Crowd casting, budgeting and management

• Overview of the ScreenSkills checklist for the role of a 2nd AD

Aimed at those new to the role and those looking to increase their understanding of the role (3rd ADs and Runners, as well as wider production) this will offer an introduction into the ‘essentials’ behind the role of a 2nd AD. 

Demographic: Entry level 2nd ADs (including Crowd 2nds), 3rd ADs and Runners. Wider production.

Price: Free to all AD Guild members.
